Bafana Bafana head coach, Stuart Baxter reflected on the country's win against Egypt in the Africa Cup of Nations competition.
The South African national team secured a 1-0 victory against Egypt in the last 16 of the competition, however, saw a disappointing end to their campaign after suffering a 2-1 defeat to Nigeria in the quarter-finals.

Speaking to the media upon Bafana's arrival in Mzansi on the weekend, Baxter explained their approach against Egypt, pointing out how his side managed to keep one of the best players in the world – quiet on the night.
"They (Egypt) did exactly what we needed them to do. They were confused and they didn't know what to do and a player like Mohamed Salah who is a world star, was very, very quiet," Baxter said.
"So that game for me - it set a tone and then we had Nigeria, knowing that we've beaten them (Nigeria), knowing that we got a handle on them, we played in a very similar fashion and the only difference was that we weren't as clinical and we weren't as aggressive and Rohr – he said after the game, "we knew that they would struggle to reproduce after three days, the blistering pace that they showed against Egypt" and he was correct because mentally it is really difficult to reproduce that quality," Baxter went on to say.
