As the Coronavirus pandemic continues apace, SAFA president, Danny Jordaan was clear that all domestic club and international football would be postponed until April 4th.
Jordaan also said that playing behind closed doors would be highly irresponsible, after analysing other national football bodies who tried that process and postponed soon after, due to the virus spreading.
SAFA chief medical officer, Thulani Ngwenya, also reported that most PSL clubs weren't medically equipped to deal with the virus, resulting in poor screening processes and analysis.
The financial loss of that SAFA would incur was also discussed, but the stance taken by South Africa's national football body was non-negotiable due to safety reasons.
