The South African U23 national team slumped to a 2-0 defeat at the hands of their Algerian counterparts in the semi-finals of the 2015 U23 AFCON tournament.

Amaglug-glug will now have to battle it out for 3rd place and an automatic qualification spot for the 2016 Rio Olympics with hosts Senegal, while Algeria will take on Nigeria in the final, with both finalists already having qualified for the Olympic Games.
