The Premier Soccer League chairman, Dr Irvin Khoza has explained the relationship the league has with Absa.
The PSL announced this week that the prize money for the winners of the 2019/20 Absa Premiership title has been increased from R10 million to R15 million.
Addressing the football fraternity, the chairman went on to explain the type of relationship that the league has with Absa and what the new plans are going forward in to the new season.
"We are talking about the PSL's proposal to the PSL clubs and players," Khoza told the media.
"All of us, we don't bank with one bank, it depends which bank is attractive in terms of what its offering.
"But for your information, our relationship with Standard Bank was terminated almost 10 years ago, so I don't know if they are still transacting in our name," Dr Khoza joked.
"For now we are in a marriage with Absa and the marriage is consummated already, it is not done on social media, it's very serious," he added.
