Desiree Ellis Speaks After Banyana Banyana Arrive In South Africa

However, Head Coach Ellis pointed out how despite not getting the results in the competition, her side showed incredible effort throughout.

"When you come out to a welcome like this, it makes you emotional, because people see the good work that you have done," Ellis said upon arrival at the airport.

"We can't always be perfect in everyone's eyes, we didn't get the results we deserve, but a lack of effort? You cannot say that there wasn't any."

"The commitment and the dedication that the team showed, the fight until the bitter end, which was all there for everyone to see," she added.
