Both Bongani Zungu and Dean Furman have admitted that they hope Stuart Baxter remains the head coach of Bafana Bafana.
Baxter's future with the South African national team has been up in the air for quite some time now and following the country's exit from the Africa Cup Of Nations competition, a decision about his immediate future is expected to be made in the coming weeks.

"It has been a long campaign, I'll go back to Sweden for a few days and look at myself and say, 'Do you really think, given the situation, you can take the team forward?'
"If the answer is 'no' I will step aside, and if it's 'yes' then I will speak to my employer and if they think the same, I will get on with the job," Baxter was quoted telling the media.
However, both Furman and Zungu are hopeful that the Englishman will remain with the national team.
"I've worked with the coach for a long time and I know how meticulous he is in his planning and he probably doesn't take enough credit for that Egypt performance because maybe not everyone quite understands how he tactically set us up.
"I can speak comfortably on behalf of the boys to say that it has been an absolute privilege to work with coach and his technical team and we of course hope that he remains as the national team coach," Furman said.
"For me, as a South Africa football player, to have a coach that understands our psychology and mentality as players is a blessing. He understands us as players and South African football and that has helped a lot of the players. I would like him to stay and hopefully we will carry on and grow as players and do well," Zungu added.
