Eric Tinkler Wants SuperSport To Go All Out Against Cape Town City

Eric Tinkler Wants SuperSport To Go All Out Against Cape Town City
Eric Tinkler says there's no sentiment going into the MTN8 final this weekend, despite coming up against his former club, Cape Town City.   Read: Tinkler On SuperSport's Emptying Sick Room   The game has several subplots to it as last year's Telkom Knockout finalists go head-to-head once again, with revenge in the minds of Matsatsantsa and two Bafana Bafana legends going toe-to-toe in the first cup final of the 2017/18 season.   Tinkler was on the winning side last year as head coach of City in the TKO, as they beat Stuart Baxter's SuperSport United, but he says that all has been forgotten going into the clash at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban.   Speaking to the media this week, Tinkler said, "There is no sentiment… Because if you are a professional‚ you move on. It is about SuperSport United and winning things for them now.   "We are going there with the attitude and mentality that we want to win‚ and if that happens we will celebrate with humility. At the end of the match, we will still be friends regardless of what happened."    Sign up for the MTN8 predictor and stand a chance to win a soccer jersey of your choice!   Meanwhile, when asked whether he has any inside information that he could use to overcome his former employers, he admitted that Benni McCarthy's team isn't the same as the one he had.   He explained, "Benni has a different view on how he wants to play. I have seen that and it is fairly different to the way we were playing.   "He has changed the squad a little bit‚ but an advantage is that I know the strengths and weaknesses of the players who were in the City squad last season. I will pass that information to my players."
