Telkom Knockout
Teams: Bidvest Wits v Bloemfontein Celtic
Date: 02 December 2017
Venue: Princess Magogo Stadium
Struggling Absa Premiership defending champions Bidvest Wits take on Veselin Jelusic's Bloemfontein Celtic in the Telkom Knockout final.
Gavin Hunt's Wits have struggled to gain the form that saw them so ominous in their league-winning season.
Their barren league run has been superseded by a good cup run that sees them competing for the Telkom Knockout trophy this evening.
Controversial forward Gabadinho Mhango has served out his six-match ban and will be available for selection and Hunt might be looking to the Malawian international to make an emphatic comeback against his former team.
Celtic have been in fine form this campaign and look a resurgent side under the tutelage of Jelusic.
Siwelele have had a good cup run and will be looking to replicate their TKO title-winning efforts of 2012 to reward their ever vocal supporters.
Winger Kabelo Mahlasela and striker Tshegofatso Mabasa have been impressive this season, although they start the encounter on the bench, while Buhle Mkhwanazi and his defensive partners will have to be on their toes to keep the Celtic attackers quiet.
Here's how they line:
Wits: 1. Keet, 2. Allie, 3. Hlatshwayo, 7. Klate, 8. Monare, 10. Gamal, 13. Hlanti, 14. Claasen, 15. Mkhwanazi, 17. Mhango, 19. Mlambo.
Celtic: 30. Tignyemb, 3. Pfumbidzai, 22. Rikhotso, 27. Ndengane, 10. Mabena, 13. Letsoalo, 5. Letlabika, 35, Baloyi, 7. Hotto, 45. Nyundu, 8. Phalane.
