Absa Premiership Starting XI: Polokwane City v Highlands Park 22 August 2020

Teams: Polokwane City v Highlands Park

Date: 22 August 2020

Venue: Loftus Versfeld Stadium

Polokwane City and Highlands Park will both be searching for their first victory in the bio-bubble when they lock horns in the Absa Premiership on Saturday afternoon.

Rise and Shine restarted their season with a 3-2 loss Kaizer Chiefs last weekend, after throwing away a two-goal lead.

Clinton Larsen's charges were a shadow of a side that gave Chiefs a run for their money in mid-week, as they went down 2-0 to SuperSport United.

As a result, City are rooted at the bottom of the log, two points from safety and are left with only four matches to save their top flight status.

Meanwhile, the Lions of the North are winless since the restart after registering a 1-1 draw against Mamelodi Sundowns before they played to a goalless stalemate with Chippa United on Tuesday.

Highlands' winless run extended to five matches in the league and they are now in danger of losing their top eight spot, as they are lying eighth on the log.

The sides will be meeting for the fourth time this season after playing to two goalless draws in the two-legged semi-finals of the MTN8 in August and September last year, with Owen Da Gama's troops winning on penalties to book a spot in the final.

Highlands also won the first-round clash in the league 2-0 back in September 2019 at Makhulong Stadium.
