Myeni

Absa Premiership    Result: SuperSport United 1-2 Orlando Pirates   Date: 23 November 2014   Venue: Peter Mokaba Stadium
Sifiso Myeni scored in stoppage time to hand Orlando Pirates a 2-1 win over SuperSport United at the Peter Mokaba Stadium.   View The Current PSL Standings     SuperSport should have opened the scoring as early as the third minute but Thamsanqa Teyise failed to convert from three-yards out.
Gordon Igesund's side eventually took the lead in the 25th minute, as Morne Nel picked out Thuso Phala with a wonderful ball and the winger rifled one past Brighton Mhlongo.   Sifiso Myeni should have leveled matters for Pirates in the 33rd minute but the winger could only steer his header into the side-netting.   The Buccaneers squandered another chance two minutes later, as Ronwen Williams pulled off a fine save to deny Oupa Manyisa, before Ntsikelelo Nyauza blasted over from close range.   Dino Ndlovu should have doubled the lead minutes after the halftime break but the striker sliced his effort wide of the target with only Mhlongo to beat.   Teyise almost doubled SuperSport's lead in the 67th minute but his powerful effort from 30-yards out forced Mhlongo into a fine save.   Pirates eventually leveled matters in the 71st minute, as Issa Sarr did well to lose his marker before thumping a header into the back of the net.   SuperSport were reduced to ten men in the 78th minute after Roscoe Pietersen was shown his second yellow card of the game.   And it was Myeni who popped up in stoppage time to blast home the winner for Pirates, after Willaims failed to collect a Pirates long throw.   Here's how they lined up:     SuperSport United: Williams, Pietersen, Teyise, September, Khumalo, Mkhabela, Nel, Phala, Manyama, Mathebula, Ndlovu   Orlando Pirates: Mhlongo, Nyauza, Phungwayo, Jele, Mahamutsa, Masalesa, Manyisa, Klate, Erasmus, Makola, Myeni   View The Latest PSL Results
