Ajax Cape Town CEO Ari Efstathiou earlier this month lauded the club's relationship with Mamelodi Sundowns after he confirmed the Urban Warriors finally gave into the Brazilians' persistent pursuit of one of their players.
Grant Margeman will move to Chloorkop next season and with that, joins a long list of Ajax stars who have left the Mother City for the bright lights in Gauteng.

One of the most notable transfers between the two clubs in recent times is Khama Billiat's transfer in 2013, though he is now a Kaizer Chiefs player.
Efstathiou, speaking during a press conference with the SA Football Journalists Association two weeks ago, revealed that he is constantly in touch with Patrice Motsepe, the Downs president, on future business and transfer targets.
Ajax have been linked with Lucky Mohomi and Aubrey Ngoma, and the CEO admitted there was interest, but cautioned that the issue is salaries.
Sundowns players are known to be high earners, which has often worked against them when they are looking for loan spells to start afresh. But it is also what has attracted so many of them to Downs in the first place – Margeman and Billiat were no different.
Ajax have also benefited with loan deals as they opened the door for out-of-favour Sundowns players like Yannick Zakri previously to get some game time.
