Mamelodi Sundowns coach Rulani Mokwena says Marcelo Allende getting the Man of the Match award was long overdue.
The Brazilians maintained their perfect start to the DStv Premiership season with a 2-0 victory over Chippa United on Saturday night.

Mokwena spoke about Aubrey Modiba's role in the side and also gave praise to Allende, who starred in midfield.
"He's [Modiba] not a winger but he's also not a midfielder, so he's got a position that we have to… and he'll get better at it because he's so important," Mokwena told SuperSport after the game.
"He helps us with the passes, he helps us with the creativity, he helps us with a little bit more dominance a little bit where some of the other players like Neo [Maema] for example helps us with verticality and depth with the movement off the ball.
"But ja very good performance from the team, Modiba so proud and that happy Marcelo well deserved (Man of the Match award), it's long overdue but an incredible team performance, against a difficult side.
"This Chippa side is difficult, they fight, so congratulations to my players, congratulations to the supporters, congratulations to the football club," he added.
The Brazilians are back in league action on Wednesday evening, as they take on winless Richards Bay FC at the King Goodwill Zwelithini Stadium.
