Mamelodi Sundowns coach Rulani Mokwena has hinted at the possibility of signing a striker before the close of the transfer window period.
Since Peter Shalulile was taken off with an injury in the 4-0 victory over Golden Arrows on Tuesday evening, Sundowns could struggle a bit in terms of a striker upfront, with Abubeker Nasir still making his way back from injury. Thapelo Morena is also an option for the club upfront, but he still needs to fully recover from injury, which leaves the DStv Premiership champions a little thin upfront.

Thabiso Kutumela has been loaned out to Cape Town City, while Gift Motupa has not been able to break into the squad consistently during the times he has been available for selection.
There is still some time before the transfer window closes, so Sundowns could go into the market to secure the services of a striker to add more quality.
"In relation to the strikers, if we can get Thapelo (Morena) back quickly and Nasir back quickly, I think we are in a decent situation. We have to look and see whether or not we would go into the market, so that's a space for the sporting director and the club. They know my feelings about the squad and I leave it to that," Mokwena told media after the clash against Arrows at Lucas Moripe Stadium.

"Kutu (Kutumela) has requested to go on loan, so we've agreed with Cape Town City. I want to officially thank him for his services to the football club and wish him everything of the best."
Sundowns will visit Chippa United at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Saturday, eager to make it four out of four victories.
