Pitso Mosimane's Assessment Of Coming Up Against Maritzburg United

Pitso Mosimane's Assessment Of Coming Up Against Maritzburg United

Pitso Mosimane admits that Mamelodi Sundowns have found themselves in an unfavourable position, but hopes that the side can turn things around against Maritzburg United.

The Brazilians have played four games since football's restart and while they have booked their spot in the Nedbank Cup final, results in the Absa Premiership have not been forthcoming.

Sundowns have drawn two and lost one of their previous three league encounters and the title is starting to slowly slip away from their reach.

However, log leaders Kaizer Chiefs have also dealt a blow yesterday, the gap between number one and two remains at six points and the Brazilians still have time to catch up.

"We started very well and where we are at the moment doesn't look very good for us in terms of results," Mosimane told the media.

"We thought that our game against Highlands Park will give us an edge and would be a game for us to win, we went with that attitude that we will win the match, which is proper, which is right, because we want to win every game.

"But unfortunately we started at the wrong mode where we started to concede a goal and then we have to come from behind and that is the same thing which happened with Cape Town City, we were trying to come from behind and it puts a lot of stress on the team and a lot of emotion on the team.

"Probably we will start properly with Maritzburg and we don't start from chasing the game again and maybe we can put our way of playing."
