Brazilians coach Miguel Cardoso went with a strong line-up despite wrapping up the league title on Wednesday, as Arthur Sales was recalled after netting a brace against Chippa United.
Sundowns were quick out of the blocks and broke the deadlock on four minutes when Iqraam Rayners' shot took a deflection off Lucas Costa Ribeiro and sailed into the back of the net.
The Brazilians were looking to bag more goals as the first half went on, as Ribeiro turned provider to set up Rayners with a lovely flick but the striker was denied by Elvis Chipezeze in a one-on-one situation.
The second goal did arrive on 22 minutes when Ribeiro completed his brace with a wonderful finish from the edge of the box that sailed into the top corner after being picked out by Marcelo Allende.
It was one-way traffic throughout the entire first half, as Magesi struggled to fashion any clear-cut chances in the box as Sundowns goalkeeper Ronwen Williams barely had a touch of the ball.
Cardoso responded with a double change just before the hour mark, as Peter Shalulile and Themba Zwane replaced Rayners and Ribeiro, who was denied a chance of completing his hat-trick.
The second half continued in similar fashion to the first, with the Brazilians dominating possession while Magesi struggle to get the ball, which was a stark contrast from the previous two encounters between the two sides.
Sundowns should have bagged a third goal on 84 minutes when Shalulile did well to put the ball on the plate for Sales in the box, but the Brazilian dragged his effort wide of the mark with only Chipezeze to beat from eight yards out.
Nevertheless, the two goals were enough to seal maximum points in their final game as they now switch attention to the CAF Champions League final Pyramids next weekend.
Meanwhile, Riberio moved top of the Golden Boot chart with 15 goals, closely followed by teammate Rayners on 14 while Orlando Pirates' Tshegofatso Mabasa sits on seven goals with three matches to play.
