Bafana Bafana midfielder Siyethemba Sithebe looks set to be on his way to Kaizer Chiefs and the reason for rejecting an offer at Amazulu has been revealed.
Sithebe is understood to be on his way to Naturena, as previously reported by the Siya crew.
Indications are that the Usuthu star opted not to extend his contract with the Durban-based side.
Sources have revealed that contract talks between the midfielder and Usuthu began last year, with the parties failing to find a common ground.
"Sithebe gave the club an opportunity to place their offer but the new deal wasn't convincing compared to what Kaizer Chiefs offered, especially with his age, players want to be secured after football," a source told the Siya crew.
"He had to look at his age and future, as he is not getting any younger. If Usuthu gave Sithebe a proper deal, he would've rejected a move to Amakhosi."
An insider further reveals that discussions are ongoing regarding an immediate or move or at the end of the season.
