Kaizer Chiefs have been struggling for consistent results in the DSTV Premiership, but there is one area where they appear to have made big improvements compared to last season.
Amakhosi went into the market before the start of the campaign to bolster their defence, bringing in Given Msimango and Thatayaone Ditlhokwe from TS Galaxy and SuperSport United respectively, and there has been improvements at the back.

While the attack has not been lethal, the team's defence has done well to concede 11 goals in 14 matches, keeping six clean sheets during this period.
After 14 matches last season, when Arthur Zwane was at the helm, Amakhosi had conceded 15 times and had kept five clean sheets. They have kept one more clean sheet than they did at this point last term, showing they have improved at the back since going out into the market to bolster the squad.
Their biggest defeat in the first 14 matches of last season was a 4-0 defeat to Mamelodi Sundowns. This season, they have not conceded more than two goals in a game.
Amakhosi will be back in action this weekend when they take on Richards Bay at FNB Stadium on Saturday, looking to make it three wins in a row for the first time this season.
