With Itumeleng Khune out due to disciplinary reasons and Brandon Petersen not starting due to poor form earlier in the season, Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Bruce Bvuma has been grabbing his opportunity since being back in the first team's starting line-up.
Bvuma was also called up for Bafana Bafana's preliminary Africa Cup of Nations squad on Thursday, after keeping two clean sheets in two games for Chiefs recently.

Now former Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper William "Cool Cat" Shongwe tells Soccer Laduma that there is no need to tamper with the goalkeeping position anymore, after Bvuma is helping the team with two wins in a row and two clean sheets.
Swaziland born Shongwe stated that Bvuma had proven that he can do the job for Chiefs even in the past, including his great performances in the Caf Champions League where Amakhosi reached the final where they lost against Al Ahly a few years ago.
"It's not the first time Bvuma had stepped up for the club. I remember during the Champions League more especially against Yanga FC in Tanzania. He was incredible! And you should know that it takes a very good goalkeeper to do well in the Champions League," Shongwe told Soccer Laduma.
"But unfortunately, after that he was out in the cold. There was a bit of inconsistency and I know it is hard for a goalkeeper when Itumeleng Khune is still the point of reference. I remember it happened to me when Gary (Bailey) was playing and I had to go through a tough time.
"I was down and out. I remember one game in Bloemfontein when Gary had to come out with an injury and I had to go in. I did very badly which was not good. We drew that game but I was terrible myself. So as a goalkeeper when you are not playing you have to keep on working hard.
"That's what I think Bvuma has been doing. Bvuma had bit the bullet for a long time and when called into action he has done very well. Personally I don't think they should change him any time soon because you don't have to tamper with a goalkeeper who has helped the team win two games and kept two clean sheets in a row. If Bruce keeps on working hard and playing the way he is doing there is no need to change him," Shongwe told Soccer Laduma.
