With two clean sheets in as many games, the time has never been more ideal for Bruce Bvuma to make the Kaizer Chiefs number one jersey his own.

With Itumeleng Khune currently undergoing a programme set out by the club, owing to his off field behaviour and Brandon Petersen suffering a dip in form, Bvuma has been handed the ideal opportunity to step up to the plate.
At 28 Bvuma is no spring chicken and has amassed enough experience since being promoted to the Chiefs first team in the 2016/17 season.
It has been a case of so far, so good for Bvuma since coach Cavin Johnson entrusted him between the sticks for Amakhosi. In matches against Moroka Swallows and Polokwane City respectively, Bvuma has managed to keep a clean sheet each.
Speaking to the club's media department, Bvuma shared his delight with being handed the responsibility at Chiefs.
"I'd like to thank the Almighty God for giving me the strength to play. We knew that it wasn't going to be easy and that we'd have to dig deeper and suffer and we suffered together as a team.
"I'd like to thank my teammates because they saved us a lot, and they saved me as well," he said.
So far, Bvuma has made 39 first team appearances for the Glamour Boys, though there is a strong train of thought that it is the ideal time for him to step up.
