While reports have circulated about Kaizer Chiefs signing three players—Bongani Sam, Rushwin Dortley, and Fiacre Ntwari—the club has yet to officially confirm these acquisitions.

Amidst this uncertainty, the club's Sporting Director, Kaizer Motaung Jr., has indicated that the team's recruitment efforts for the season are far from over.

During a media briefing at the launch of their new jersey at the Kaizer Chiefs Village, Motaung Jr. addressed the ongoing speculation and outlined the club's strategic approach to strengthening the squad.

"Far from it. We are not done signing yet. We are looking at players in certain positions where we feel we are lacking in. There are meetings and activities going on behind closed doors as we look at strengthening the squad for the season ahead. We are working hand in hand with the head coach and his technical team to get the right players for the right positions where we need them," Motaung Jr. told the media.

Motaung Jr. then emphasized that any new signings would be made with careful consideration, aligning with the club's broader objectives and financial prudence.

"We want to be signing players whose heart is also with this project which we are running here. We won't sign just for the sake of signing. And also the signings should make business sense as we can't just pay any amount if it doesn't make business sense. Also we have talks with the coach about which players would suit the team and it's philosophy and if they meet the requirements that we are looking at as well. But yes, we are not done signing yet," Motaung told journalists.

The list of players linked to Chiefs is extensive and includes talents such as left-back Fawaaz Basadien from Stellenbosch FC, winger Elias Mokwana from Sekhukhune United and Polokwane City midfielder Ashwin Apollis.

This proactive and strategic recruitment plan reflects Chiefs' commitment to assembling a competitive squad capable of challenging for honours in the upcoming season.

By carefully selecting players who not only fit the technical requirements but also share the club's vision, Chiefs aim to build a cohesive and formidable team. As the transfer window progresses, the anticipation around which players will officially join Amakhosi continues to grow, with fans eager to see how the new additions will enhance the team's performance and dynamics.
