Kaizer Chiefs make technical team changes

Kaizer Chiefs make technical team changes

Kaizer Chiefs' best signing in the off-season could well be one made off the field of play after their latest addition to the club's technical team arrived at the club's Naturena base.

Chiefs roped in seven new players plus the addition of Mduduzi Shabalala who has been promoted to the club's first team, making it eight new players in total.

However, it is not just on the field where Amakhosi are ringing the changes.

The club recently gave their backroom staff a shake-up with the addition of Muzi Maluleke, a sports scientist who is also an IFBB PRO.

Maluleke, affectionately known as 'Muz Monster' arrived at Naturena on Monday morning after placing second place in his Pro Debut at the Expo Supershow hosted in Brazil, to take up his new role at Chiefs, having previously worked for the University of Pretoria where his work received wide acclaim.

A big problem for Chiefs in seasons gone by has been the niggling injuries that have been plaguing their biggest players. The likes of Itumeleng Khune, Keagan Dolly, Khama Billiat have all had their fair share of injury problems; however, Maluleke is understood to be the solution to this.

According to his personal website, Maluleke is a strength and conditioning specialist, who holds a master's degree in Sports Science.
