After keeping a third consecutive clean sheet in their last Premiership clash, Kaizer Chiefs joined two clubs on seven matches without conceding and are closer to leaders Mamelodi Sundowns.
Interim coach Cavin Johnson inspired Amakhosi to their third consecutive victory for the first time this season, registering a 1-0 victory over Richards Bay at FNB Stadium on Saturday.

It was Chiefs' third 1-0 victory in a row, showing how much they have improved at the back with Johnson at the helm.
After 15 matches, Amakhosi have kept seven clean sheets this season and they have joined Soweto rivals Orlando Pirates, as well as Cape Town City, who have the same amount.
Sundowns lead with nine clean sheets in 12 matches, continuing their dominance in the local game again this season while the rest of the clubs in the league try to catch up.
Chiefs, meanwhile, have made improvements from last season. After 15 matches last season, they had kept five clean sheets, so they are two better this term. This season they have conceded 11 times, while last term they had let in 16 goals at this stage.
There are improvements from Amakhosi this season, but they are still far behind Sundowns when it comes to points on the table. It would take an extraordinary effort, and an incredible collapse from Sundowns for Amakhosi to get to the top of the standings.
