Sirino, who struck the decisive goal in Amakhosi’s victory over Richards Bay, has often been praised for his ability but questioned for his consistency and application.
This time, though, assistant coach Khalil Ben Youssef believes the 34-year-old has turned a corner.
“When we came back this season, Sirino returned with a very good attitude and a very good performance,” Ben Youssef told the media after their 1-0 win over the Natal Rich Boyz.
“We sat with him and discussed his ideas and what he wants to achieve this season. He’s excited, he wants to perform and help the team. I have to say congratulations to him and all the players for the attitude and the way they are training.”
Last season, Sirino managed four goals and six assists in 25 appearances in all competitions.
