As previously reported by the Soccer Laduma, Chiefs have been keen to retain Duba and this comes as part of the club's strategy to keep promising talent.

"The club wants to keep almost all the youngsters who are doing well for the team. That's why after talks and negotiations, the club is offering Duba a new improved three-year contract. Duba was promoted to the senior team in January 2023 and made eight appearances in his debut season, scoring once. This campaign, he has featured in all 10 league matches and has scored twice.

When contacted for comment, Kaizer Chiefs had not responded by the time of publication. Similarly, Duba's agent, Mike Makaab, stated that he was unaware of the contract extension.
