Last season, Kaizer Chiefs finished outside the top eight in the PSL era, extending the club's trophy drought to almost a decade.

Former midfielder Tinashe Nengomasha believes that based on the team's current form, they are poised for a better 2025.

Speaking exclusively to Soccer Laduma, the Zimbabwean-born midfielder stated that new coach Nasreddine Nabi seems to have made a positive impact on the team, with signs of improvement already visible.

"If you look at the way they have started the new season, it shows that things are changing for the better. The new technical team is showing signs of improvement and I hope that will go into the new year and the team can still do well. The players are also showing commitment and dedication which is  good for the team. That's why I am saying that 2025 promises to be a better year for Chiefs," Nengomasha told Soccer Laduma.

The former midfielder is of the opinion that the league title race is far from over.

"It's not even half way the season if you look at the games played and no-one can claim that they have already won the league. It's still far from being won and any team can still fight for the league title.

"I believe Chiefs will do better in 2025 and if they can't win the league they would at least finish in a CAF Champions League position for next season. They have a squad which is good enough to do that," the Zimbabwean-born legend added.
