Kaizer Chiefs striker Jasond Gonzalez has been given hope for the future by interim coach Cavin Johnson, who is likely to keep giving him more game time in the final few weeks of the year.
Gonzalez, the Colombian striker who is on loan to Amakhosi, came on as a substitute in Chiefs' 1-0 victory over Moroka Swallows at Dobsonville Stadium on Sunday afternoon. He featured for half an hour in his seventh appearance of the campaign, which was only the second time he played under Johnson.

Gonzalez is yet to find the back of the net since joining the Soweto giants, but Johnson is not losing patience and believes that with time and understanding, the striker will add the value they are looking for in him.
"Having worked with a Colombian in (Luis) Renteria (at Platinum Stars) before, they are very stubborn people but they also love people. I've been trying to understand what Gonzalez is all about because that's how I got the best out of Renteria. I think if we give him a little more opportunity and I am able to train a little bit more, he will get used to what the Kaizer Chiefs brand is all about," Johnson said after Amakhosi's hard-fought win over the Dube Birds.
"South Americans don't worry about how big the brand is, as long as they are able to play in front of people. When they do that, then they shine a little bit better. Yes, as a striker, I think Gonzalez has got something in his feet and he is going to surprise us a lot more when he starts understanding who we are as Africans. Then you will probably see a bit better out of him. He's got very good feet and he has a good body on him. He is physically getting better all the time, so I am expecting him to give us something better as the season goes on."
