Johnson has been in charge of four matches since taking over from Molefi Ntseki, winning two and losing two. It's understood that management have been impressed with the work Johnson is doing and the style of play he is trying to bring into the team.

Amakhosi are currently seventh on the PSL table and Johnson looks set to get time in the hot seat to show what he can do, before management makes a final decision. What Amakhosi management has also been impressed with is how Johnson has been able to give some of the younger players in the team an opportunity to play.
Some of the development products such as Nkosingiphile Ngcobo, Samkelo Zwane and more recently Happy Mashiane have been given opportunities by the former Platinum Stars coach and this is something that management is understood to be happy with.
Johnson has always been a coach that believes in giving young players an opportunity, so the above mentioned players are likely to keep featuring as the club looks to improve on the inconsistent start they made to the season.

Amakhosi's next match will be against Polokwane City away from home on December 9.
