The Siya crew has gathered that Luke Fleurs passed away in Johannesburg on Wednesday.
Information made available to the Siya crew is that the 24-year-old was allegedly shot and killed during a failed hijacking ordeal.
The Siya crew reached out to both Chiefs' communications department and the South African Police Services, though no comment had been obtained at the time of publishing this article.
The former SA youth international joined Chiefs in October last year and was yet to feature for Amakhosi.
He was previously on the books of SuperSport United whom he joined from the Ubuntu Cape Town Academy in 2018.
