As first reported by Kickoff, Chiefs have expressed an interest in luring former Brazil u23 coach Alexandre Gallo to Naturena as a permanent replacement for Molefi Ntseki.
The Brazilian ticks all the boxes in what Chiefs are looking for in a coach, despite the fact that he has never coached in South Africa before.
Early indications are that Chiefs will face an uphill battle in their pursuit of Gallo, as reports emerging from Brazil have indicated that he is keen on remaining in his technical director role at Brazilian club Santos beyond the current season, as per BolaVIP.com.
A boost for Amakhosi however, is the upcoming elections for the Santos presidency, where a new president could see the entire technical team sacked, meaning that Gallo will become a free agent.
Other candidates linked with the Chiefs job is Pitso Mosimane, Nasreddine Nabi and Benni McCarthy, though his agent has effectively ruled him out of the running, revealing that he would only return to South Africa for one job.
