A new era of the continent’s major African club competition is here with the unveiling of a brand new CAF CL trophy.
The Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF), in collaboration with TotalEnergies, has showcased a new and improved trophy, reimagining identity for Africa's Champions League ahead of the eagerly awaited two-legged final.
The first leg of the final will take place in Pretoria on Saturday, 24 May, followed by the return leg in Cairo on Sunday, 1 June.
The new trophy was officially revealed at TotalEnergies' offices in Johannesburg, with football legends such as Teko Modise, Lucas Radebe and Siphiwe Tshabalala as well as representatives from both finalist clubs — Mamelodi Sundowns and Pyramids FC — in attendance.
