Pirates, who are seen as the favourites to win the tournament due to their impressive run of form in knockout competitions under Jose Riveiro, overcame Cape Town Spurs in the last 16 to progress. They have done quite well at Moses Mabhida Stadium in cup matches previously and will no doubt fancy their chances of overcoming a Richards Bay side that has not been able to find any consistency this season under the tutelage of coach Kaitano Tembo.

In the other quarterfinal clashes, Polokwane City will host Stellenbosch FC at Old Peter Mokaba Stadium on November 3.
