Speaking to the Siya crew, the 24-year-old midfielder explained that quality of opposition played throughout the different stages of the tournaments assists in building mental strength and improving the technical abilities of players.
"Teams that regularly compete in the Confederation Cup and Champions League are the teams that do well in their domestic leagues," said the Heilbron-born midfielder.
"We want to take our game to the next level which is why we are taking this competition very seriously."
"Every player at Pirates wants to be the best and CAF competitions can help us in achieving this objective. Against Uganda Revenue Authority we have prepared the best way we can, it's now up to us to follow through on the game plan," concluded the midfielder.
Pirates will depart from the OR International Airport for their flight to Uganda, despite reporting on their official website that they will use a bus to make the trip.
