Word emanating from the Orlando Pirates camp is that left-back and Bafana Bafana international, Thabo "Festival" Matlaba, remains doubtful for the trip to Uganda and will undergo a late fitness test.
According to the Pirates website, the 27-year old defender will be assessed by the Bucs medical team to determine whether he can travel with the rest of the Bucs squad to take on Uganda Revenue Authority in the CAF Confederation Cup second leg clash.
The initial diagnosis on Matlaba was that he had a lung contusion (bruise) because he was in serious pain at the stadium following a collision and being elbowed in the chest in Bafana's international friendly against Nigeria this past Sunday.
Eric Tinkler and his troops will depart for Uganda on Thursday where they carry a narrow 2-1 goal advantage over URA.
