Thabo Matlaba On Facing Etoile du Sahel In Tunisia

Orlando Pirates defender, Thabo Matlaba, is confident that the Buccaneers can overcome Etoile du Sahel in Tunisia on Sunday.

The Mayfair outfit travel to the Stade Olympique De Sousse for the second leg of the two-legged CAF Confederation Cup final against Etoile, with the scores tied at 1-1 after the first leg.

'Festival' is adamant that Pirates will be able to win the game on Sunday and lift the Confederation Cup for the first time in their history.

"We just need to work more on our finishing because, in games like these, you don't get too many chances. I mean, we conceded right at the end, but if we had converted at least two or three of our chances, we would be talking a different story now," Matlaba told Soccer Laduma.

"Defensively, we also need to be more organised, especially when dealing with set-pieces, because that's where a number of goals come from in the modern game.

"Going into the second leg, we are aware that they have not lost a home game so far in this campaign, but their first home loss is coming this Sunday! They will finally get to know the feeling of losing at home.

"These teams tend to relax when they are at home, only to be surprised when we take the game to them. Look, one goal is all we need to turn things around and, whether they defend or take the game to us, we will get at least one goal.

"If they are good at home, we are even better away from home and we are going there with a positive mentality."
