Orlando Pirates striker, Lennox Bacela, is confident that the Buccaneers can get a result in Gabon when they take on CF Mounana in their CAF Confederation Cup tie on Sunday afternoon.
Bibo: No Room For Mistakes
Pirates continue their Confederation Cup journey with a clash against the Gabonese on Sunday but Bacela believes it will be tough, as they don't know much about Mounana.
"It's going to be difficult considering that we know nothing about our opponents but having said that we have been in such situations before," Bacela told the club's official website.
"I think with the experience we have now having played both in the Champions League and the Confederations Cup, we have gained a lot of experience and we are aware of what we are capable of as a team. So yes we are confident of getting a positive result and besides the pressure is on them because they are playing on their home ground so they have it all to do."
Bacela added that they are not focusing on the conditions in Gabon.
"We obviously don't have the luxury we have when we prepare for PSL matches where we can analyze the match and know exactly what to expect in terms of the opponents and the pitch. The one thing that we do as a group, we always have our Captains Run a day before the match and from that session we get an idea of what we are facing in terms of the pitch," he added.
"Honestly speaking, Gabon was a co-host of the AFCON not too long ago and I feel the pitches there cannot be that bad. I think the only thing we need to do is to be focusing on now is our own game, we just need to carry on the way we did against URA. We have done it against power houses of African football in the past and there is no reason why we can't do it against this Team".
