Result: Marumo Gallants 1-0 Elgeco Plus (4-1 on aggregate)

Date: 15 October 2022

Venue: New Peter Mokaba Stadium

Former Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Lucky Mohomi was named in the starting line up, with Ismaël Olivier Touré dropping to the bench.

The Limpopo side had the healthy advantage from the first leg after clinching a 3-1 victory last Sunday, with the side just needing to avoid defeat to advance.

The appointment of Dan Malesela has seemingly brought good fortunes after getting their first league a couple weeks ago which was followed up by the first-leg win.

Malesela's charges got the breakthrough five minutes before the halftime break courtesy of a strike from captain Nonyane.

With a three-goal cushion, the home side range the changes with one eye on the upomcing midweek DStv Premiership action as Letsie Koapeng and Blessing Mokogope.

Elgeco Plus were unable to find a way past Washington Arubi and his defence, who held out for the clean sheet which sealed their spot in the next round.

Malesela and his charges will now prepare for Wednesday's DStv Premiership clash against defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns.
