Goals from Soumahoro Bangaly and Ricardo Nascimento helped Sundowns claim a 2-1 win over the Ugandan outfit on Friday evening.
"We played against a very good team, they organised and they play football. They are a good team," Mosimane said after the game.
"We let ourselves down, we should not allow the goal but we still won the game and we have to go fight in Uganda. We've put ourselves in this situation. So we should not complain.
"I think the boys were a little bit emotional with the passes, the whole team didn't play very well and also shows a little bit inexperience from Percy (Tau), he still young, he still needs time to get there.
"I think the goal (Castro's disallowed goal) we scored was a goal, but it's okay, we have a team to go there (Uganda) and do well."
