Mamelodi Sundowns head coach, Pitso Mosimane has explained that he has always been aware of the tactics of his North African rivals.
Sundowns secured a 2-1 victory over Wydad Casablanca at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium this weekend, with the CAF Champions League encounter not short of drama on and off the field.

However, it was a crucial three points for Sundowns in their Champions League group nonetheless, with Mosimane explaining the type of tactics that they come up against when facing a side from North Africa.
"Wydad are used to winning. They know how to manipulate the system. They know. They pressurise the referees. It was the first time I saw referees moving out of the pitch, looking for balls. It was the first time I see the assistant referee looking for balls. This happens to us every time when we play away in the Champions League but I have never seen referees going out," Mosimane said on Sundowns' official website.
"But that bench pressurised them, the referee went off the pitch – go fetch the ball. That's why the North Africans dominate this pace. We don't know how to play with the North Africans. But we are getting there. We're getting there. Do you know what happens to me in Esperance in the tunnel? The Esperance officials come to me directly in the tunnel. We've been there. We've been to Esperance, Setif and Casablanca. We're strong, man. We shrug it off. We should be able to know how to play this game."
"The Champions League sometimes doesn't need beautiful football. You just have to get the result," he added.
