Mamelodi Sundowns Head Coach, Pitso Mosimane, recently admitted that he would rather win the CAF Champions League than the domestic Absa Premiership league title.
Sundowns are currently at second placed on the Absa Premiership standings, with their rivals Bidvest Wits holding a two-point advantage in the race for the league title.

The Chloorkop-based side have already missed out on claiming domestic honours such as the 2016 Telkom Knockout trophy and the 2017 Nedbank Cup this season and speaking to CAF's official website prior to their opening encounter of their CAF Champions League group stage fixtures, Mosimane revealed that he would rather want his side to win continental honours than the domestic league title.
"Rather than winning the league and Nedbank Cup (South African FA Cup), I would rather win the CAF Champions League and CAF Super Cup. Domestically we might not win anything but we can go to the FIFA Club World Cup in December, that for me is history for Sundowns," Mosimane told CAF official's website on Wednesday, May 10.
"It is going to be very tough. In fact, it will be even tougher considering the fact that most clubs know who Sundowns is. We have the experience now and know what is needed to get positive results out of such matches. We have the quality and depth and will take it one game at a time – just as we did last year," he added.
Sundowns held their Ethiopian rivals, Saint George to a goalless draw in their first group stage encounter on Saturday, May 13.
The Brazilians will be travelling to Congo on May 27, to face AS Vita Club in their next CAF Champions League fixture.
