Micho Reacts To Draw Against Esperance

Orlando Pirates coach Micho Sredojevic chose diplomacy instead of controversy when he reacted to his side's CAF Champions League goalless draw at home against Esperance on Saturday night.

The Buccaneers were denied a penalty and had striker Justin Shonga's goal in the first half of their Group B fixture also disallowed. Visitors Esperance, who host Pirates for the return leg in Tunisia next week, were on several occasions also accused of play acting and Sredojevic, naturally, was asked about this after the game.

"My job is to coach together with the technical team – I don't belong to the (group) of people that are looking elsewhere. Even if I say anything negative it will not help us in whatsoever way. We need to now analyse and see how we can get better because the next game against Kaizer Chiefs and again against Esperance will demand much better than today," the Pirates coach said to the media.

He urged journalists, TV commentators and officials to give their remarks on what had transpired at Orlando Stadium.

"Those things (penalty call, disallowed goal) we leave to you our respected friends to judge. People have seen elsewhere, but I will not comment," Sredojevic added.
