Ratings:

Denis Onyango: 7/10

The Ugandan shot-stopper was commanding and dominant figure in the box. He also proved the hero, as he saved a penalty in the first half.

Anele Ngcongca: 6.5/10

Ngcongca looks to be holding down the right-back spot, and he put in another solid showing defensively.

Motjeka Madisha: 7/10

Started off a little shaky and nearly scored an own goal, but he was superb for the rest of match. He was calming figure in the backline.

Bangaly Soumahoro: 7/10

Much like Madisha, Soumahoro was solid throughout the 90 minutes and did well to frustrate the Saint George attackers.

Tebogo Langerman: 6.5/10

Another solid showing from the left-back, who provided a threat going forward, while he was solid defensively.

Hlompho Kekana: 6.5/10

Kekana provided a solid base in front the of the back four for the whole match, while he also went close to scoring with a trademark long range effort in the second half.

Sibusiso Vilakazi: 6/10

Didn't see much of Vilakazi's game going forward, but he worked tirelessly whenever the hosts were in possession.

Themba Zwane: 6/10

Similar to Vilakazi, Zwane put in a solid shift in the middle of the park but was a bit quiet going forward.

Anthony Laffor: 7/10

Handed a start by Pitso Mosimane, and he repaid the faith by putting in a hard-working display, while also getting the winning goal in the second half.

Percy Tau: 6.5/10

Had a quiet first half, but saw a lot more of the ball in the second stanza. He also played a role in Sundowns' winning goal.

Yannick Zakri: 6/10

Zakri had a quiet afternoon leading the line for Sundowns. He did not have a lot to work with, but he worked hard off the ball.

Substitute:

Thapelo Morena: 7/10

Replace Zakri in the 68th minute, and provided the much-needed pace to threaten the home side. Morena grabbed the assist for Laffor's goal.
