RATINGS:
Denis Onyango: 6.5/10
Commanded his box well and made a vital save in the first half, but he was unable to do anything about Togo's opener.
Tebogo Langerman: 5/10
Struggled a bit at times, especially when Abdoul Sabourh Bode was running at him. He was also disappointing going forward.
Wayne Arendse: 6.5/10
Arendse put in a solid showing in the heart of the defence alongside Nascimento.
Ricardo Nascimento: 6.5/10
It was Nascimento's unfortunate touch that gifted Togo their goal, but he was solid overall.
Anele Ngcongca: 6/10
Ngcongca was defensively sound at right full-back, although he did venture forward as much as would like to.
Hlompho Kekana: 5/10
The Sundowns skipper did not venture that much but he did make his presence felt alongside Jali, while he did create a chance for Manyisa before he was surprisingly hauled off at halftime.
Thapelo Morena: 6.5/10
Morena played in a more advance role but kept on working hard down the right flank and was a constant threat. He was one of Sundowns' better attacking players on the day.
Andile Jali: 6.5/10
Jali put in a workman-like showing on debut for Sundowns. He worked tiressly from box to box throughout the 90 minute.
Oupa Manyisa: 5/10
Didn't offer Sundowns much going forward and he squandered a golden chance in the first half.
Themba Zwane: 5/10
Zwane had an unusually quiet game for Sundowns as he was unable to link up with his fellow attackers.
Sibusiso Vilakazi: 6/10
'Vila' was quiet in the first half, but he saw more of the ball when Sekotlong was introduce. He also squandered a big chance to equalise in the second half
Subs:
Thokazani Sekotlong: 5/10
Was introduced at the start of the second and he immediately missed a glorious chance to score. He was quiet for the rest of the half.
Aubrey Ngoma: NA
Brought on for the final 13 minutes but failed to make any big impact.
Anthony Laffor: NA
