Sundowns will now travel away to Morocco this evening, September 18, where they will begin preparations for their second leg encounter set to take place on Saturday, September 23.

Masandawana managed wins over the likes of Kampala CC, Saint George and Esperance Du Sahel, in order to book their place in the quarter-finals of the competition, becoming the only South African club to dominate football on the African continent.

Now, Sundowns will look to capitalise on their 1-0 lead over Wydad Athletic, where if they secure a victory on aggregate score, the Brazilians will book their place in the semi-finals of the competition and be one step closer to becoming the only team in Mzansi to defend their CAF Champions League honours.
