Fuming Pitso Blasts Wydad's Antics

Fuming Pitso Blasts Wydad's Antics

Pitso Mosimane

A visibly upset Pitso Mosimane launched a scathing attack on Wydad Casablanca and their antics following Mamelodi Sundowns' CAF Champions League.

A brace from Themba Zwane guided Sundowns to their first win in Group A at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on Saturday evening.

However, Mosimane took issue with the visitors antics during the latter stages, accusing the Moroccan side of being bullies.

Mosimane was seen instructing personnel at the stadium to "deal" with the Wydad officials during his post-game interview.

"It's a [CAF] Champions League game, big emotions and all these things. They do this to us! They do this in Morocco. We go everywhere and everybody bullies us. It's about time Sundowns come up and play Champions League,"Mosimane told SuperSport after the game.

"They do this to us, we don't find ball boys [in Morocco], they come to South Africa and want to bully us? No! We're even local, we know what to do. People bully us, we give it back! Gone are the days.

"The North Africans are always bullying everybody, always. They bully referees, they bully everybody, they don't want to lose. They gonna lose tonight. We beat them fair and square. Two legitimate goals.

"When we lose in Casablanca we don't do anything, we walk [away] properly. What is all these? Wydad is used to winning, pushing everybody and the referees. Not in Atteridgeville!

"We beat them on the game by fair play. We had two number tens. They could not deal with us when we moved the ball around. This is what I said to the boys; 'the way we play, they can't deal with it'.

"We controlled the game from minute one. We could have scored one or two [more goals]. Bad decision making again that came on [like] against Maritzburg United.

"But we played well, I'm happy for the team. The 12th man is there. We're controlling everything.

"You know even if we're home people are on the floor, the goalkeepers are on the floor, people doing all that. It's about time Sundowns give back, two wrongs don't make a right but this is football.

"If you're fighting in boxing and somebody takes out the gloves, I also take out the gloves."
