Sundowns will welcome Esperance Tunis to the Loftus Versfeld Stadium tonight, June 02, in a group C encounter in the CAF Champions League.
The Tshwane giants are currently joint at the top of the group standings with Esperance and will look to claim the all-important three points over their rivals before travelling away to Tunisia later in June.
Speaking to Sundowns' official website, Onyango revealed that his side wants to retain their continental success after missing out on the Absa Premiership Title.
"We want to get the team back to where it belongs following our loss of the domestic league title. Esperance are one of the biggest on the continent, but we are determined to turn things around at home," Onyango told Sundowns' website.
"But we will continue taking it one game at a time and would urge our supporters and the rest of the country to support the teams that campaign in the Continental competitions. It's not just about us, it's about the country as players benefit from this exposure and prepares them for their national team campaigns," he added.
