Banyana Banyana head coach, Desiree Ellis has spoken about the positives leading up to their clash against China this evening.
Both Banyana and China lost their opening FIFA Women's World Cup group stage encounter against Spain and Germany respectively and are set to go in to tonight's encounter with the same mindset as they look to fight for their first three points.
Speaking to the South African Football Association, Ellis pointed out that their final preparations were better than the rest of the week and the team's spirit is currently at an all time high.
"Training was even better, it went really, really well, if people were in our bus they would see how the mood was, people singing at the top of their voices," Ellis said.
"But, it was the last session to prepare for China and you can't say that you are not ready because that is it. We worked really well on different things. You have to plan on how and when you substitute.
"We know that it is a big game after not getting the three points against Spain, the result today with Germany beating Spain gives us a big chance. It is a final for us; I think it is the same for China because they also lost their first game.
