Desiree Ellis said that despite the result against China last night, she's got to take her hat off to her team.
Banyana Banyana suffered their second FIFA Women's World Cup loss against China last night, putting an end to any hope they had of progressing through to the knockout stage.
However, following the 1-0 defeat to China at the Parc de Princes, Ellis revealed that she was still proud of the effort shown by her side.

"Very disappointed with the result, we knew it was going to be another battle that we had to win this time around," she told SAFA.
"I have got to take my hat off to the whole team, as a whole. The whole team, even the players that came on showed their quality.
"I think everyone back home is just as disappointed as we are with the result, but it is not through a lack of effort, we tried everything but it unfortunately wasn't our day.
"Everybody stood up and that is so amazing about this group of players, no matter what, they go on to the field and they give their all and that is all that you can ask for. And today it was a fantastic effort, it would have been nicer if we got the result along with the effort but we can be very proud of this group of players," she added.
