"I've maintained that the Cyprus Cup was a tournament that would prepare us for our CAF Women's African Cup of Nations qualifiers and for the 2019 Fifa Women's World Cup in France year," said Ellis.

"I want to commend my players for the bravery they have shown here. We have shown tactical discipline and that's why we remain unbeaten in three games.

"It was important that our players get (the) feel of playing on foreign soil. They will need this on our venture of qualifying for next year's World Cup," concluded Ellis.

Currently, Banyana are in second place in Group C after Korea DPR with five points after playing three games.

The Cyprus Cup will draw to a conclusion on Thursday 8 March 2018.
