Banyana Banyana coach Desiree Ellis has conceded that it's always more difficult to defend the Women's Africa Cup of Nations title than to win it for the first time.
Ellis was speaking during the SAFA Sasol Women's League national playoffs launch and draw in Sandton, Johannesburg, on Thursday morning.

The Sasol league will be held in Knysna in the Western Cape from 14 to 20 October. The Banyana Banyana head coach stated that they are happy that SAFA is helping them secure top opposition for friendly games, South Africa will play against England, Denmark, and Jamaica soon.
"We are so grateful to SAFA for organising these top countries to agree to play against us. You know it's not just about the WAFCON, its also about preparing for the other tournaments as well and playing against teams like England, Denmark and Jamaica help us prepare how to defend the WAFCON trophy. I don't want to say it's easy to do it as it's difficult to defend it. And we are preparing to defend it and these games will prepare us for that," Ellis told journalists.
