Banyana Banyana head coach Desiree Ellis has come out to thank the supporters and the sponsors following the side's impressive 6-0 rout of Lesotho this past weekend.
Banyana thrashed Lesotho in their second leg of the Women's Africa Cup of Nations qualifier, winning the round 7-0.

"We pride ourselves on putting on a good display for the supporters and that is why we were disappointed with our performance in Lesotho," said Ellis.
"This team prides itself on saying thank you to the fans and to SASOL as well to SAFA. As the technical team, we are proud of the display. We have shown what we are capable of because we believe in teamwork so that we never rely on one or two players.
"We are building this team to become a group that has depth so that in an event we don't have a player, another can step in and improve the team," added Ellis.
The Banyana mentor added that she knows that there were concerns about the score in the first leg played in Lesotho last week Wednesday.
"We showed all the positives in the second match; free-flowing football, skill and finishing. However, we will have to take it a notch up when we go to AFCON later this year because there, it's going to be more intense and at a higher level.
"The upcoming COSAFA Women's Championship will serve as the ideal preparations for Banyana heading to the Women's AFCON Nations Cup," concluded Ellis.
The Women's AFCON is scheduled to be played from 17 November to 1 December 2018.
